A public school teacher for 33 1/2 years, I’ve spent my life trying to help others improve their lives. I’ve worked with middle school aged adolescents and high school age young adults. I was trained in English and special education. After retiring from public school I worked for 5 years at the community college level teaching basic writing instruction. I stopped doing that when I discovered that I was working harder than my students. I have also been employed in a variety of part time jobs from H & R Block, doing income taxes, clerking in a hardware store, a sporting goods store and managing a coffee shop. In recent years my wife and I have lived in Alaska and Florida. At the moment we are in Boise, Idaho, both retired and enjoying this piece of the Universe.
